“O Tejo”

The Tejo is the longest river of the Iberian Peninsula with over 1000 kilometres. In the port of Lisbon a poem is written on a jetty. This poem is by Fernando Pessoa and starts with:
  • The Tejo is more beautiful than the river that flows through my village,
  • But the Tejo is no more beautiful than the river that flows through my village…
  • Because the Tejo is not the river that flows through my village…
